Professional Luthier Services in Adelaide
Dedicated to the preservation and optimisation of musical instruments since 2012, Bociwuumgroup provides technical expertise for musicians across South Australia.
Our Heritage and Philosophy
Founded in 2012, Bociwuumgroup was established to provide Adelaide's musical community with a reliable centre for instrument maintenance. We operate on the principle that every instrument, whether a student model or a professional concert piece, deserves precise technical attention to reach its full sonic potential. Our approach is based on transparency, technical accuracy, and a deep respect for the materials and craftsmanship of the instruments we handle.
We avoid rushed repairs. Instead, we focus on a methodical diagnostic process that ensures the root cause of a performance issue is addressed rather than just the symptoms. This commitment to detail is what allows us to maintain a consistent standard of quality for the approximately 45 instruments that pass through our workshop every month.
The Workshop and Technical Standards
Our 85 m² workshop is specifically designed to meet the rigorous requirements of instrument care. Because wood is highly sensitive to environmental shifts, we maintain a strict climate-control system, keeping humidity levels between 45-55%. This prevents the cracking of soundboards and the shifting of joints, ensuring that the adjustments we make remain stable after the instrument leaves our care.
The studio is equipped with precision measuring tools and professional-grade workstations for string, wind, and keyboard instruments. By integrating modern precision tools with traditional luthier techniques, we ensure that every setup is performed to the exact specifications required by the musician.

How We Work
Every project begins with a comprehensive diagnostic. We believe in clear communication, which is why we provide a detailed estimate before any work commences. Once approved, the instrument is scheduled into our workflow, with an average setup time of 5 days. Upon completion, clients receive a report detailing the work performed and tailored recommendations for ongoing care.
Our services are designed to support the musician's journey, from basic seasonal adjustments to full structural overhauls. We invite you to explore our full range of services or visit our knowledge base for professional guides on instrument maintenance.
