1. Scope of Services
Bociwuumgroup Pty Ltd, directed by Sophie Campbell, provides professional musical instrument maintenance, including guitar setup, bowed instrument care, piano tuning, and wind instrument overhaul. All work is performed at our Adelaide studio or via mobile visits as specified in the service description.
The result of the service is the restored functionality and playability of the instrument. While we aim for perfection, the final result depends on the physical condition and age of the instrument provided.
2. Booking and Appointments
Services are requested via our contact form or telephone. A booking is confirmed only after written acknowledgement from our team. We reserve the right to refuse service if the instrument requires materials or expertise beyond our current capacity.
3. Pricing, GST and Payment
All prices listed on the website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include 10% GST. A detailed estimate is provided during the initial diagnosis (which is free of charge). Work commences only after the client approves the estimate.
For B2B clients (orchestras, schools, and registered businesses), payment terms are strictly 30 days from the date of invoice. Individual clients are required to pay upon collection of the instrument.
4. Deposits and Cancellations
For complex restorations or custom orders, a deposit may be required. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a mobile piano tuning appointment may incur a call-out fee. Any adjustments to the scope of work after the project has started will be reflected in a revised estimate and must be agreed upon in writing.
5. Instrument Storage and Collection
Once we notify the client that the instrument is ready, it must be collected within 14 days. Instruments left beyond this period may be subject to a daily storage fee or, after 90 days, handled according to local Adelaide regulations regarding abandoned property.
6. Warranty and Liability
We provide a 6-month warranty on our labour and craftsmanship. This warranty does not cover natural wear and tear, damage caused by improper storage, or subsequent modifications by third parties. The warranty applies to the specific work performed, not the instrument as a whole.
Liability for instruments held in our workshop is limited to the fair market value of the instrument. We recommend clients maintain their own insurance for high-value collectibles.
7. CITES and Legal Materials
Bociwuumgroup Pty Ltd strictly adheres to CITES regulations. We will not work on instruments containing protected species (e.g., Brazilian Rosewood, Ivory) unless the client provides valid legal documentation proving the instrument's provenance. This is to ensure compliance with international trade laws.
8. Consumer Rights and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
Any disputes that cannot be resolved through direct communication with Sophie Campbell shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Adelaide. For data-related concerns, please refer to our Privacy Policy and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
